Campaigns are a series of linked Quests that progress in sequence and can involve multiple parties of heroes. Campaigns have a wide spectrum of outcomes based on how well the heroes attempting the campaign do; for example a quest to return the Dwarves to their ancient homeland might provide the Alliance with a powerful ally but it might also awaken a great evil in the mountains or cause the Dwarves to become corrupted. Unlike quests, Elite Units can participate in campaigns.
